"Jeanelle’s kitchen is truly amazing! An absolute gem. Cute authentic space with some music to set the mood. Feels like being on vacation at Jeanelle’s. The spice and flavour of our meals were so good we couldn’t wait to eat our leftovers. The house sauce was incredible, rice was fantastic…plantain cooked to perfection! It’s fun that the menu has a creole twist on poutine too..for the poutine lovers. Can’t wait to go back (we will have a hard time resisting!)"

"This is a new family run Haitian/Guyanese restaurant in the small town of Cheney. We were excited to try as there’s really not many places to eat around unless you go to Rockland or Orléans. The parking lot is not very inviting as it’s under construction but I’m so glad we decided to try this place out. We got the tender beef, chicken leg and side vegetables. Everything came out to $37 which is so incredibly reasonable for the amount you get. My fiancée and I both had a ton and then had it again the next day for lunches. Now the taste. The tender beef wasn’t our favourite we felt it was over cooked/dry but it did have some elements of tenderness and a bit of a salty note to it. Would have preferred either more tender or less cooked - topped with sauce they cook the veggies in. The vegetables were great ! It’s a good mixture of veg. The rice was a bit dry but enjoyable. The plantain was fried and tasted good. The coleslaw was average. I was told by the owner that the most popular item is the chicken leg and I completely understand why. It’s honestly phenomenal !! It’s sweet/salty and super super tender. Some of the best chicken I’ve ever had in all honesty. For 13$ for a full plate I will 100% be back for that chicken leg platter. Yum yum yum!"

"Was passing by and stopped to try this restaurant for the first time. My experience was excellent. Service was very quick and kind. I got the creole griot platter - it was delicious! Portion size was also great. I won’t hesitate to make the drive from Orleans to come back again."

"Absolutely incredible! I finally tried Jeanelle's Kitchen and it was a genuine 10/10 experience. I ordered the shrimp and plantain, and every single bite was flawless. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the plantain was sweet and fried to a golden crisp. Authentic flavors, generous portions, and truly great service. I highly recommend this spot! You won't be disappointed."

"Decided to give this place a shot after driving by everyday for the last few years. The food is absolutely incredible. I tried the jerk chicken and the oxtail. Both were cooked perfectly, and both were very delicious. I wish I had tried it sooner. Definitely will be going back."
